Here is my latest creation, a Lay Caya Special cigar box guitar.
It was a fun build and has a very distinct sound. I used a Lay Caya Toro 25 cigar box with an oak neck. For this build I decided to go with a fretless configuration and decided not to electrify it either.
It was a pretty basic build with brass sound hole accents and brass corner caps. I put economy tuners that had pearloid thumb screws and 5/16 internal head bolts for the bridge and nut.
I have another similar build coming up and I will document the ins and outs of that build. There is some tips and tricks that I will be sharing that I find have worked particularly well for me that are generally not included in most beginner DIY kits.
